This policy covers criston.dev, the personal site of Criston Mascarenhas, and Android applications published by Masconix. It explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how to reach us with questions.

Who we are
Criston Mascarenhas publishes this website from Karnataka, India. Masconix is the name under which Android applications such as StackWatch are developed and submitted to Google Play. Contact for either is [email protected].
The website
criston.dev is a portfolio. In production it may record anonymous page views, outbound link clicks, and similar usage via OpenPanel so the site can be improved. Theme and sound preferences stay in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent as account data. The listening section uses server-side Spotify credentials to show what Criston is playing; that is his library, not yours, and visitors are not asked to connect a Spotify account.
Android applications
Masconix develops and publishes Android applications. Unless a specific app provides a different policy, the following sections describe how those apps may collect, use, and protect information.
Information we may collect
Depending on the app and features used, we may collect limited device details, diagnostics, crash logs, performance data, usage analytics, and information you choose to provide. We do not require a Masconix account to use the portfolio site.
How we use information
We use information to operate apps and this site, maintain security, fix bugs, improve performance, understand feature usage, and answer support requests. We do not sell personal information.
Permissions and device access
Apps request access to storage, notifications, camera, microphone, or network features only when required for their functionality. You can manage permissions in Android settings.
Third-party services
Some apps may use Google Play Services, Firebase, analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services, which process information under their own privacy policies. The website may use OpenPanel for first-party analytics.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide functionality, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Children’s privacy
Masconix apps and criston.dev do not knowingly collect personal information from children unless a specific app explicitly states otherwise.
Your choices
You may stop app collection by uninstalling the app and, where available, limit permissions or manage analytics preferences through device settings. You can control website analytics by using a tracking-protection browser or by not loading the production site.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.
